Bellas Artes National Museum 

The most important art museum in Chile

Since the beginning of the 20th century, Bellas Artes National Museum has been the most important art museum in Chile. Here you can enjoy a collection of over 5,600 art items by national as well as international artists.            

The impressive museum is in Park Forestal (in Spanish: Parque Forestal) close to Santiago downtown. As you can see from the map the museum is just across the street of the apartments, where you will be staying. You get of at the same metro station: Bellas Artes to get to the museum and to the apartments.

All year long there are different exhibitions and different projects of various artists. On Sundays it is free entrance to most museums in Santiago, it can be little crowded with people, but it can be nice to enjoy the different street shows in the park just outside. No matter which day you go, stop by at one of the coffeehouse near the museum and enjoy the atmosphere.
