Forestal Park |

Main Park of the City Park Forestal borders the Mapocho River, and follows the line of the river. As in many parks many monuments, sculptures and various kinds of trees (native & imported) are found here. Many Santiago inhabitants come here on Sundays to Stroll in the park, with the children, bicycles, watch the different street performances with clowns, janglers, theatres etc. Park Forestal is an oasis in the middle of the large city, away from the street noise. When you take a walk in the Park, pay a visit to the Contemporary Museum of Fine Arts that are on the other side of the building of the Bellas Artes National Museum, and enjoy the atmosphere in one of the coffeehouses nearby.
